My expectations were way high for this book. Pirates, hell yeah!!! That cover, YES!! I loved the narrator's accents on this audio, that was my most favorite part of the book. Things just fell a little flat for me. I never felt like I really liked any of the characters as much as I should. I never got breathless during the love scenes. I never felt swept away at Hendrix's confessions of love. All of it was just a little disconnected. I will say the epilogue had me REALLY curious about the next book. I may have to check it out!
