I loved the first book in this series. More Carter and his wolf-like blue eyes, yes please!!! This book was a total surprise for me, I hadn't done my homework to know there was going to be a book 2!? I love surprises though=) I think this was the perfect follow up to Carter and Emma's story. There was a lot going on in the "family", tons of drama. Carter was just as bad ass as he was in book one, and just as in love with Emma. They have that good kind of love, where they can't even be apart because it hurts. Yes that is my favorite!! There were definitely some hot moments in there too! I would suggest both books 1 and 2! If you haven't read the Fallen Crest series i would highly suggest that one too!
